I recently stayed at Sofitel in Hangzhou for a few days and had a wonderful experience. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, providing us with useful information on local attractions and dining options. The hotel itself was spotless and maintained a high level of cleanliness throughout our stay. The location was perfect, with West Lake just a short walk away and easy access to public transportation. The room was spacious and comfortable, making our stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely choose to stay at Sofitel again when visiting this city.

Service is great, staff very helpful. Asked for a wifi router for my ipad as the room is equipped with only cable, and the staff sent it to my room right away. Swimming pool is small, but quiet and private. Excellent location, right next to West Lake, and the restaurant/bar area, West Lake Tian Di. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to have a pleasant trip to Hangzhou.

The hotel is a bit tired comapared to other sofitel I have stayed. Could do with a refurbishment as we paid 5 star price.

Despite some minor issues, our stay at Sofitel was overall a positive experience. We enjoyed the lovely staff in the cafe area and the good concierge service. The hotel's location, close to Westlake, was also a great advantage. The breakfast buffet was very nice and tasty, and the staff in the lobby cafe went above and beyond to accommodate our late-night craving for french fries with mayonnaise. The helpful staff in the breakfast restaurant and the assistance with luggage were much appreciated. The friendly ambiance in the lobby cafe added to the pleasant atmosphere of our stay.

The rooms are extremely pleasant and well-appointed on the executive level and the staff are ACCOMMODATING.

We had a wonderful stay at a hotel very close to a picturesque lake and plenty of shopping spots. A quick 4-5 pm taxi ride from the train station, we were impressed by our big, well-stocked room with comfortable bed and great amenities. The staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring we had a memorable experience. The breakfast was decent with a variety of options. We also enjoyed the view of the bustling neighborhoods from our window.

The hotel could work on their housekeeping standards to sustain their reputation as a five-star establishment.
